According to a survey net immigrant inflow to Ireland estimated to have added between 2.3 per cent and 3 per cent to GNP and this is due to lowering of high-skilled wages relative to where they otherwise would have been and to facilitate the increased employment of high-skilled labor. In the past 15 years, this north European country becoming one of the world’s fastest-growing immigrant nations, and those signs are also everywhere to be seen.

Barrett and Bergin, who work for the Economic and Social Research Institute estimate that non-Irish immigrants, most of whom come from the Baltic states, the Czech Republic, China and Eastern Europe make up more than 9 per cent of the population and number around 363,000. Nine percent of the labor force in Ireland is foreign born. Reason for Ireland becoming a favorite destination for immigrant workers is due to generous Irish refugee policy and its immigration laws provide easy entry for health care workers and other critical skill categories as compare to other European nations.

Ireland has liberal visa policy of migrant worker and individuals from European Economic Area (EEA) countries do not need a work permit to take up employment within Ireland, but non-EEA nationals will require authorization from the government.

The granting of work permit is different form UK and implement a system based on job offers in skills shortage areas rather than quotas or points based systems, such as the UK. With a national unemployment rate of less than 3 percent and growing investment in almost all the sectors, Iris economy is could accommodate thousand of more immigrants in near future.

An international team of physicists has discovered a new fundamental difference between Matter and Antimatter. The team, working on the detector known as BaBar at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) in California, has observed the intriguing effect known as direct Charge Parity (CP) violation in the disintegrations of heavy, short-lived subatomic particles called B Mesons.

The finding could give light on the formation of universer or Big Bang. According to Paul Harrison, from Queen Mary University of London, and Chair of the BaBar-UK Steering Committee,

“This result determines directly for the first time the magnitude of the fundamental matter/anti-matter difference (or asymmetry) in Nature,”

BaBar is a 1,200-tonne detector, built and operated by a team of more than 600 physicists and engineers from nine countries, including the USA,UK, China, Russia,France, Italy, Norway, Canada and Germany. The detector records subtle distinctions between decays of B mesons and those of their antimatter counterparts, called anti-B mesons. Both are more than five times as heavy as the more familiar proton and survive just over a trillionth of a second.
Each elementary particle has a special partner called its anti-particle that has the same mass but the opposite electric charge. It has the same mass but an opposite charge. The electron’s counterpart is called a positron. In the first seconds after the Big Bang, there was no matter as scientists says but Just energy. When the universe expanded and cooled subsequently particles of regular matter and antimatter were formed in almost equal amounts. When the matter and antimatter came into contact they annihilated, and only the residual amount of matter was left to form the universe what we are seeing today. Acoording to scientist Antimatter has tremendous energy potential and half a kilo of it is enough to power the United States for two days.

The head of Turkey’s military has said Ankara should launch a military operation in northern Iraq to target Kurdish guerrillas based there.

The military asked the government Thursday to approve attacks on Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq, signaling growing frustration over a lack of action against the guerrillas by Iraqi and U.S. forces. It is feared that action could put pressure on U.S. military, which already is engage in Iraq and Afganistan.

Turkey and Kurd are both have good relation with US and if the situation becomes tense then it will not benefit the US. It is reported that Gen Yasar Buyukanit, chief of Turkey’s general staff, urged the government to approve a cross-border incursion.
But the Turkish government is not willing to act in a hurry and want to consider military action only as a last resort. Turkish government fears that it could spark a mutiny from dozens of Kurdish lawmakers within Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s own party ahead of elections in November. Ankara is considering economical and political sanctions on Kurds to secure Iraq’s cooperation in the fight against the Iraq-based Kurdish rebels.

It is to be noted that Turkey has been battling separatist Kurdish rebels in southeastern Turkey since 1984 and resulting conflict has killed more than 37,000 people.
The United States considers Turkey as a strategic ally and country is a member of NATO and US cannot ignore Turkey strategic importance in southern Europe and Gulf. But some Turks now started questioning their country’s ties with Washington if US refuses to side with them against the Kurdish rebels.

More than 30,000 people have been killed since the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) launched its armed struggle for a separate Kurdish homeland in southeast Turkey in 1984. US, the European Union and Turkey consider the PKK as a “terrorist organization”.

Now no more ordinary cleaning for your teeth, Redmond based Ultreo, Inc, today announced the launch of a revolutionary power toothbrush that combines ultrasound wave guide technology with precisely tuned sonic bristle action for a deep, gentle, long-lasting feeling of clean.

Ultreo’s use ultrasound energy to transform normally inactive bubbles into pulsating bubbles that can remove plaque bacteria. Clinical studies prove that Ultreo can remove up to 95 percent of plaque from hard-to-reach areas in the first minute of brushing. While Ultreo, Inc. recommends that you still brush for a full two minutes, these results should be excellent news for people who are in a hurry to get out of the house in the morning.

According to Dr. Christopher McInnes, principal scientist for Ultreo Inc.,

‘The combined effect of ultrasound wave guide technology and precisely tuned sonic bristle action takes power brushing to new heights,’

He also told that during a recent survey, nine out of ten people who used Ultreo toothbrush, thought their teeth felt smooth and clean after brushing and seven out of ten said they preferred Ultreo to the power toothbrush they were currently using.

This revolutionary idea of Ultrasound Toothbrush originated at the University of Washington, in an unusual interdisciplinary collaboration between the Applied Physics Laboratory and the Departments of Neurological Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry.
The Ultreo toothbrush has a user-friendly design and a sleek look and product have number of features including, ultrasound wave guide, sonic bristles with power tip, ultra-slim neck, brushing interval signal, brush head replacement indicator, battery charge status indicator and ultra-compact charger base and snap-on brush head with auto shut-off timer.

Ultreo is now available at online at www.ultreo.com and also in participating dental offices. It will be available at selected retail locations later in the year. Ultreo’s retail price is $149.00.

World leading software company, Microsoft is disputing reports of three new flaws in its Office software while also taking issue with how the alleged flaws were disclosed, the company said Wednesday. The company also said it was not notified of the alleged problems before they were publicly disclosed, a practice generally frowned upon in the security industry.

Several security websites reported four new vulnerabilities, three affecting Microsoft’s Word 2007, just as Microsoft released its latest round of security patches. But Microsoft said in a statement that none of the three alleged to affect Word 2007

“demonstrate any vulnerability in Word 2007 or any Office 2007 products.”

Two of alleged Word 2007 problems are said to cause CPU usage to 100 percent, creating a denial-of-service condition for other running programs. According to a posting on the Security Vulnerabilities website. Microsoft’s Word 2007 third vulnerability could even allow remote code execution and PC could become vulnerable of hacking.

The posting further reported the about fourth vulnerability, which is effecting Windows help files with “.hlp” file extension and could lead to a heap overflow condition. Microsoft did not have further information on whether it considers it a vulnerability .
The world’s biggest software company, shipped 11 security patches in total, including a cumulative Internet Explorer bulletin and an update meant to fix a flaw in the Windows Media file format.

Microsoft said the these critical flaw could be exploited using a specially-created Web page designed to attack the issue, which is present in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE 5 & 6), Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 systems.

According to a cybersecurity trade group in US, the government should explore new incentives for companies to invest in cybersecurity instead of focusing on regulation.
A group of Internet Security Alliance (ISA), made up of IT vendors and customers have told the US government to give up its old regulatory approaches and give more emphasis on incentives such as cybersecurity insurance, awards programs and caps on legal liability for companies which adopt cybersecurity best practices.

In a white paper passed by ISA on Wednesday, said about legislation, required by the U.S. government to create cybersecurity standards, including the Improving America’s Security Act passed by the U.S. Senate in mid-March, takes the wrong approach. The president of the ISA said

“That approach will not work due to factors within the Internet itself.”

He further told that a regulatory approach would be limited to U.S.-based divisions of companies, and it’s slow to react to new threats of hacking and The incentives outlined in the ISA white paper could encourage companies to invest in cybersecurity not only in their U.S. divisions but also in their foreign ones.

Online Hacking happens when a hacker exploits a security breach in a network or computer and is able to access the important and personal information through the Internet and the only thing, which can stop this, is Firewall or anti virus protection software.
It is said that Last year the Pentagon was subject to 250,000 hacker attacks, while the annual cost of hacking to US industry is now reached to a staggering $10 billion and Worldwide anti virus software total software revenue gone up to $4 billion in 2005, a 13.6 percent increase from 2004 revenue

Ronald Mallett, a professor at the University of Connecticut, USA has used Einstein’s equations to design a Time Machine with circulating laser beams.
According to professor Ronald Mallett the Time Machine could be ready for test with in next 10 years.
Time travel stories have been a staple of the science fiction stories and movies from a long time. We have a number of movies such as Terminator, 12 Monkeys, Army of Darkness, Planet of the Apes and lots of other movies. But no one ever thinks seriously about the possibility of Traveling in past or future.

Ronald Mallett is teaching Physics in University of Connecticut from 30 years. He considered an alternative to these time travel methods based on Einstein’s famous relativity equation: E=mc2.
According to Mallet, Einstein showed that mass and energy are the same thing and time travel is theoretically possible. Mallett has published his first research on time travel in year 2000 in Physics Letters.

‘The time machine we’ve designed uses light in the form of circulating lasers to warp or loop time instead of using massive objects.’

Mallett is designing a desktop-sized device that will test his time-warping theory. Some subatomic particles have extremely short lifetimes and by arranging mirrors, he could be able to make a circulating light beam, which should warp surrounding space. He says that he will observe the existing of these particles for a longer time when placed in the vicinity of the circulating light beam because .A longer lifetime means that the particles must have flowed through a time loop into the future.
Mallett explained to PhysOrg.com. That empty space is like coffee and the spoon is like the circulating light beam. When you stir the coffee with the spoon, the coffee or the empty space gets twisted. Suppose you drop a sugar cube in the coffee. If empty space were twisting, you’d be able to detect it by observing a subatomic particle moving around in the space.’

World’s leading Search Engine Company Google has closed a security hole in a recently released Chinese-input software tool that lies at the heart of a dispute with Chinese Internet Company Sohu.com Inc.
According to Google spokeswoman Cui Jin

‘We had found this problem and have solved it during the product upgrade on Friday,” wrote Google spokeswoman Cui Jin in an e-mail response to questions.”

Google released an IME (Input Method Editor) in China on April 4 this year. This software is used to convert english keyboard characters into Chinese Pinyin characters. For example, the Pinyin Chinese ‘mianbāo’ (bread) is ‘面包’ in simplified Chinese characters. An IME will typically accept the user to type the easier ‘mianbao’ without Pinyin’s accented characters, and then pop-up a selection box which you can navigate through and select with arrow and space keys to resolve the ambuigity of the ’simplified Pinyin’ input.

According to Google, Chinese IME will benefit from millions of searched keywords on Google to deliver more precise and versatile character combinations and it would save the time spends in correction when typing Chinese using standard alphabet keyboard. Another important feature of the Google Chinese IME is that you can linked this software to a Gmail account. Users can customize the Chinese IME and have a personal dictionary that could be used form other computers.

On Friday, Chinese Security Company Rising Co. Ltd. said Google’s Pinyin Input Method Editor (IME) presented a serious security threat to Windows Vista users and warned users not to download and install the software. It is said that hackers could gain access to computers using this software due to security flaw.

A Russian diplomat said on Friday, April 6 that Western nations’ aid embargo against the Palestinian government should end because the reasons for it “are no longer operable‘.
According to Interfax Russia’s foreign minister Alexandre Saltanov told reporters

“The reasons used to take those economic measures against the Palestinians are no longer operable.”

Russia’s Security Council secretary, Igor Ivanov, will visit Israel and the Palestinian territories on Monday to discuss the peace process.

It is to be noted that Russia is also a part of the so-called Mideast Quartet that froze direct aid to the Palestinian Authority after formation of Hamas government in January 2006.
The people of Palestinians have been living under international sanctions imposed by Israel, the United States and the European Union after formation of Hamas government in January 2006. United States and Israel consider Hamas as a terrorist organization and have insisted that the Hamas must recognize Israel and renounce violence to lift the sanctions.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that the Palestinian government is facing a fiscal crisis due to sanctions. Sanctions forced most of the donors to refrain from providing direct financial assistance to the Palestinian government and using channels that bypassed the Hamas-led authority. Most of the aid was channeled through President Mahmud Abbas, who regarded as a moderate face by US and Israel governments.

Palestinians formed a new government last month with Hamas joining with Mahmud Abbas’s secular Fatah party. Since then many Western nations including Russia have eased their boycott to PA government and have agreed to meet non-Hamas ministers, but have yet agreed to meet Hamas leaders.
